Fitting Our Roses

We understand the process of fitting a rose is not common knowledge, but thankfully in most cases the process is not a complicated one.

Below you can find a recorded demonstration showing one of our own fitters installing a rose along with written instructions.

Please note that some roses that are made up of multiple pieces or are particularly large would necessitate a professional installation and are not suitable for an untrained individual.
We also recommend seeking the aid of an electrician if you are not confident in your ability to complete every step.

If you would rather have one of our trained fitters install any of our products for you, please contact us so we can make suitable arrangements.

Written Instructions

  1. To have a light fitting through the rose, drill a hole for the wires and thread them through.
  2. Hold the centrepiece in the desired position and draw a pencil line around it.
  3. Locate the nearest joist either side of the electrical wire within the drawn circle and draw a line which goes past the drawn circle.
  4. Key inside the circle with a Stanley knife.
  5. Drill countersink holes in rose in a plain section if possible, in relation to the joist position.
  6. Mix adhesive to a stiff paste and apply liberally on the back of the ceiling rose.
  7. Place ceiling rose up to location making sure your counter sunk holes line up with the joist; push applying pressure and a lightly twisting motion.
  8. Screw into the joists through the countersunk holes, lightly nipping the screw. Do not over tighten as this may crack your ceiling rose.
  9. Fill in all around the perimeter of your rose with adhesive and over the screw heads in the countersunk holes, clean off with a small flat tool and brush with clean water.
