A wonderful opportunity for us to work at Windlestone Hall, originally a 16th century manor house, re-built in 1821. Designed by architect Ignatius Bonomi, the hall is a spectacle that was almost lost to the world when, in 2017, major portions of the roof were stolen, leading to some severe damage throughout the building. For a number of years it was considered beyond repair.
Luckily in 2020, the hall came into the ownership of a charitable trust dedicated to its restoration and preservation. Much progress has been made since, and in 2021 we began our part, spending over a year reconstructing a huge amount of plasterwork, our expert team recreating and repairing the original plaster beautifully.
